A car injury lawyer would come in handy for the family of the man who died in an Oakland, California, accident. The authorities on Friday, April 3rd, identified him as Kenneth B. Allen, 64.
Allen tragically lost his life on the night of Tuesday, March 31st, to a hit-and-run accident. The crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on the westbound lane of Interstate 580. According to the California Highway Patrol, the deceased was initially involved in a minor accident.

The first crash was with another vehicle east of the split of Interstate 80, called Berkeley Curve. After the accident, Allen came down from his vehicle and was standing on the roadway. He was in a stationary position when a car struck him and drove off immediately.
The other driver called 911, and when first responders arrived, they found the man with extensive wounds. The medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The other driver, who is unnamed, had no injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with the authorities. The CHP released the description of the vehicle involved in the crash as a dark green F-150 or a van. They are actively investigating the case and have asked anyone with information to contact their Oakland office.
Drugs or alcohol are not factors in the accident. A fatal hit-and-run accident means that asides from the criminal trial of the offending driver, the family of the deceased can bring a civil lawsuit.
When the latter happens, it is prudent to contact a competent car injury lawyer for legal representation and advice.
