A Wednesday, March 11, accident ended with five people dead and two injured. The accident occurred on Bolton Road around 10:45 p.m.
Investigators with the Atlanta Police deduced that a Nissan Sentra that was on Bolton Road lost control and crossed the center line. Losing control caused the car to end up in the other lane of traffic, that was where it ended up colliding with a MARTA bus.

Investigators revealed that there were a total of seven people riding in the mid-sized sedan. Among those who were killed in the accident were 22-year-old Kareema Floyd and her two children- 4-year-old Kaniyah Floyd and 19-month-old Kejuan Floyd.
Two teenage girls also died in the accident. They were identified March 13 as 14-year-old Ashanti Hill and 17-year-old Keshundra Murray.
All five were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The 28-year-old driver and their 12-year-old passenger survived the accident, but it was reported that they were in critical condition as of March 12.
The driver of the MARTA bus was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There were two passengers on the bus at the time of the accident, but neither of them reported any injuries.
Floyd’s mother reported that her daughter was also expecting at the time of the accident.
A secondary accident that occurred as a result of the Nissan hitting the bus didn’t result in any injuries.
A mid-sized sedan like a Nissan Sentra is generally only rated for five passengers. Police are still investigating the accident to find out the circumstances that led up to it.
