Farbo on Saturday morning was driving a motorcycle on Parker Road when he collided with a pickup truck, according to authorities. Emergency medical services personnel transported Farbo to Silver Cross Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds at about 10:22 a.m. Saturday, according to car accident reports from the coroner’s office.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, authorities said.
“The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicology reports,” coroner’s office representatives wrote in a press release.
Few details about the wreck were available in reports available Sunday afternoon. Investigators have not publicly disclosed the name of the pickup truck’s driver, nor have they said whether anyone else was hurt in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Will County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators have not said whether either driver is thought to have been at fault for the crash, and no charges or citations have been announced.
It is unclear whether contributing factors like speed, intoxication or inattentive driving are thought to have contributed to the crash.
