A man in Pasco, Washington, would need the expertise of a drunk driving attorney following his arrest by the police for driving under the influence. They took John Jay Danley, 58, into custody on Sunday evening, May 10th, for having over and above the legal blood alcohol content.
The preliminary showed that the police received a call about a single-car crash near the rail track at East Dock Street and Southeast Road 18. The officers on getting to the scene discovered that Danley was trying to make a turn when he went off the roadway.

The rear of the vehicle the man was driving hung in the air, while the front stuck on the edge of the rail spur embankment. He was unable to reverse or move in any direction, and the officers had to get Danley, a male passenger, and a dog out of the car.
Officer Ana Ramos with the Pasco Police Department, smelled alcohol on the suspect after the extrication and made him perform a field sobriety test. The man gave two breath samples that came back with .118% and .191%, respectively. The legal limit for the state is .08%.
Further investigation showed that Danley had an expired and illegal trip permit and an invalid driver’s license. The police booked him into the Franklin County Jail on suspicion of DUI, and third-degree driving with a suspended license, hence the drunk driving attorney.
He is also facing charges for ignition interlock violation and failure to transfer title within 45 days. The police used the accident to reiterate the dangers of drinking and driving and asked drivers to stop making it worse.
