The sergeant said that when firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a 2013 Toyota Tacoma and a blue 2000 Toyota Camry, operated by Bryant, badly wrecked. A third unspecified model vehicle sustained minor damage.
The crash report did not immediately reveal what led to the collision, but it disclosed that an air ambulance conveyed one injured person in the Tacoma to a trauma center. The accident led to the closure of the stretch of Central Road around the crash site, and it stayed close for several hours.
Marshall said that the AVPD Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) would head the inquiry into the occurrence. Anyone with relevant information should contact Deputy Callum on the listed line.
When multiple collisions occur, investigators try to find liability by looking first at the vehicle that started the events that led to it. Liability on the part of a motorist means criminal and civil prosecution, possible imprisonment, and payment of damages.
