When he overcorrected, he ended up driving off the other side of the road and flipped. When he flipped, he was ejected from the vehicle. Police released that Wilson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which aided in his being ejected from the vehicle.
Police are not sure at present why he was driving the truck alone at the time of the accident. In the state of Georgia, teens are eligible to begin their driver’s training at the age of 14. If they complete the requirements, they can apply for their permit when they turn 15.
Police will continue to investigate the circumstances around the accident until they have all the answers. Based on laws in Georgia, it is possible that the parents of the teenager could be held liable for the accident and the death of their child.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident from the injuries he sustained when he was ejected from the vehicle. No other details have been released regarding the accident.
