Langston continued to travel along the road at a high rate of speed. In doing so, he ran a number of red lights and make screeching stops. The vehicle he was driving finally collided with another vehicle at Gilbert Road. The sheer impact of the collision caused the other driver to sustain critical injuries and later die on the scene of the accident. The collision occurred at around 11:30 p.m.

James Patrick Langston remained on the scene of the accident following the collision. According to the court documents related to the crash, police officers found Langston with bloodshot eyes and a bloody nose. He also smelled strongly of alcohol and marijuana.

During the preliminary investigations, Langston admitted to consuming alcohol before driving his vehicle. The officers conducted a blood alcohol test which reported that Langston’s blood alcohol level was 0.270. He was arrested and booked into the jail.

For now, one count of manslaughter has been brought against him. However, he may also be charged with felony DUI as the case proceeds. Subsequent accident reports may confirm if any new charges are brought against him.
