The suspect, identified as Ivan SandovalFarias, 24, was driving aggressively through Niblick when Paso Robles officers sighted him. The lawmen tried to stop the vehicle, but the motorist failed to pull over. He kept moving until he eventually collided with two other cars near Walmart, in the 100 Niblick.

The motorist alighted from the disabled vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but officers caught up with him a short while later.

Meanwhile, commuters traveling in the two other involved vehicles sustained minor to moderate injuries and received medical aid. The collision left one of the vehicle occupants pinned in her car until Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services arrived and rescued her from the wreckage.

None of the injuries recorded in the crash appeared potentially life-threatening, as stated in the accident reports.

Deputies found methamphetamines on the suspect following a thorough search. SandovalFarias, who was reportedly on probation at the time, also had a suspended license. They booked him on two felony counts of hit-and-run and DUI-drugs. He also faces charges of driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics, and probation violation.
