Sanchez had her three children in the vehicle with her at the time of the accident. Police were unsure how old the infants in the SUV were, but they estimated them to be between 4 and 6 months old. There was also a toddler in the vehicle as well.
Sanchez and her children were taken from the scene of the accident to the hospital for treatment of their injuries in the accident. One of the twins died after getting to the hospital. The surviving twin’s condition had not been released to the public at this time.
The toddler suffered lacerations to the head and is expected to make a full recovery.
The man that was driving the other SUV was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and is expected to fully recover. The release did not indicate if he had any passengers in his vehicle.
Sanchez was treated at the hospital and then arrested early on Tuesday on suspicion of murder. They also believe that she was intoxicated at the time of the accident. She is currently being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
The accident investigation is currently ongoing.
