One of the accident reports from Macon, Georgia, is the tragic death of an older woman in a fire accident. 84-year-old Mary Frances Stenson, lost her life on the night of Wednesday, April 8th.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, they received a 911 call about the fire from a passerby. The two departments arrived at the house at about 10 p.m. to see the house engulfed in flames.

The firefighters, who brought five trucks with them, were able to put out the flames. The firemen proceeded to inspect the home, and they found Stenson inside. According to the coroner, Leon Jones, the woman tried to escape through the left side of the house, but couldn’t.
Stenson was pronounced dead by the medics at the scene. The sheriff’s office scheduled an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The woman’s house was severely damaged, and there’s no information on an insurance plan at the time of this report.
