BAKERSFIELD, CA – A cyclist who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Bakersfield on Sunday morning later died at the hospital, according to local news reports.
The victim was biking near the intersection of Harris Road and Country Meadows Drive when he was struck by a late-model red SUV. He was then transported to the hospital where he died around 1 p.m.

The driver fled east on Harris Road. Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
