A drunk driving attorney would come in handy following the arrest of a man who allegedly drove his vehicle into another while intoxicated in Petaluma, California. The Petaluma Police Department recorded the incident on Sunday morning, June 21.
The PPD responded to the crash shortly after 10:40 a.m. on reports of a traffic collision involving two vehicles on Petaluma Boulevard North. The accident left two people with injuries, the reports showed.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect was traveling through the southbound traffic lanes on Petaluma Boulevard North. Police said the driver drove into the rear of a second car, which was at the time negotiating a turn into a driveway.
The impact of the collision caused non-life-threatening injuries to two occupants of the struck vehicle. Medical personnel administered treatment to the victims at the scene, and none of them required hospitalization.
The suspect, identified as Hipolito Salinas Zarate, a 55-year-old resident of Petaluma, was not hurt in the collision. Deputies conducted field sobriety tests on the man and confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol. They booked him into the Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Zarate is facing a charge of felony DUI resulting in injuries and would require representation by a drunk driving attorney.
