There has been one confirmed casualty in the accident. 21-year-old Hector Javier Arcinie Martinez of Fort Worth.
It is speculated that Martinez was the driver of the black Tahoe, but that has not been officially confirmed.
In the same news report that indicated Martinez may have been the driver, it was stated that a passenger riding with him in the Tahoe had to be extricated from the vehicle.
They also stated that the driver of the white Dodge was able to get out of the truck on his own. All other injuries in the accident were minor compared to Martinez.
The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 287 and South Riverside Drive, just south of Interstate 30.
In the accident, the black Chevrolet Tahoe crashed into the support pillar of the bridge and the white Dodge truck rolled before coming to a stop further down the road from the Tahoe.
Witnesses say that the driver of the Tahoe was seen weaving in and out of traffic prior to the accident.
The accident is an ongoing investigation. If it was a case of racing, the Fort Worth Police are now tasked with finding the other driver that Martinez was racing with.
The use of drugs and/or alcohol did not seem to be a factor in the accident, just reckless and aggressive driving.
