A 31-year-old resident of Barry, Illinois received serious injuries when he was ejected from his car on Sunday night.
Accident reports identified the victim as Gary Brewster.

The accident happened on County Highway Four to the south of Barry around 9:07 p.m.
There are few details on how the crash occurred. However, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department said Brewster was found on the west of the roadway while his car was on the eastern side.
This led officers to conclude that he was thrown from his vehicle.
Brewster was airlifted to Springfield’s St. John’s Hospital.
The authorities did not reveal the nature of his injuries and no updates were provided on his condition.
There was no information to suggest that he was carrying passengers.
According to accident reports, Sheriff David Greenwood said the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
