After leaving the roadway on the ramp, he went into the side embankment, overturned, and then came to rest smashing into a tree.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m.
Arnell was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The California Highway Patrol did not release if Arnell was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
They did not mention drugs or alcohol being a factor in the accident, only his rate of speed.
Arnell helped the Toreros win the Pioneer Football League title in 2016. His impressive football record includes his time at the University of San Diego as a wide receiver. He was ranked number two nationally in kickoff returns. He was a Division 1-AA player.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Arnell’s fiancé, adopted child, and new baby daughter. As of March 11, the fundraiser had raised $14,865.
