Auto-pedestrian accidents are one of the leading causes of crash-related deaths in California. The factors leading to this type of collisions rest with the pedestrians and drivers, and the two can mitigate them by working together and promoting safe road habits.
Pedestrians should wear bright colors to enhance visibility, use a flashlight at night, cross within the designated crosswalks, and look at both sides of the road before going across. Drivers should maintain the speed limit, yield the way to pedestrians, and stop at crosswalks.
