LONG BEACH, CA – Investigators with the Long Beach Police Department are searching for the suspect responsible for a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a female pedestrian last Thursday.
According to the Orange County Breeze, the accident was reported at about 9:30 p.m. along Pacific Avenue just north of the Pacific Coast Highway.

Long Beach Firefighters responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures on the female victim. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful and she died at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Erica Cardenas.
Police have described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan with serious damage to the front end. No further information with regard to their identity has been released.
