The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident just after 2:25 a.m. on reports of a collision between a moving car and a bicycle. It happened near the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and Whittram Avenue, according to a media release by the SBCSD.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a 61-year-old bicycle rider was cycling in the area when the vehicle ran him over. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still unclear. Responding officers found the rider unresponsive near his dented bicycle.
