58-year-old George Norris and his son, 19-year-old Jack, were airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital due to the extent of their injuries. 60-year-old wife and mother, Amy Norris, was initially transported to Beverly Hospital but has since been transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital.
George was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. At the current time, Amy and Jack are still being treated at the hospital. Per the GoFundMe account updates, they are hoping to be released sometime in the near future.
The two survivors have a lot of rehabilitation and grief to work through once returning home. The fundraiser was created to help them be able to stay at home without worrying about financial burdens. The organizer stated that Amy was without work for now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and income is something they had already been worrying about.
As of publication, the fundraiser has currently raised $115,733 for the family.
There have been no charges or citations issued in the accident. Once the investigation is concluded, this could change.
