Motor vehicle accidents occur when drivers least expect them. Thus, they must exercise care and caution when on the road, and follow the safety tips released by law enforcement and traffic agencies from time to time.
Safety tips for drivers cover following the speed limit of each roadway. The faster a person travels, the harder it would be to brake. It is vital to reduce speed during adverse weather, as applying the brake suddenly might cause the motorist to lose control of the car.
When traveling on a multiple lane highway, keep in mind that most left lanes are for passing only. If not actively passing a vehicle, stay in the right lane, and allow others to pass. Follow exit and turn signs, don’t talk on the phone when driving, and always scan the road 12 seconds ahead.
