A motorcycle accident attorney would be needed after the authorities in the East Bay area, California, identified a victim of a motorcycle crash. Emerson Herrarte, 22, of Concord, was identified as the man who died on Tuesday, March 31st.  The motorcyclist died in a fatal accident on Interstate 680.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deceased was riding a 2004 Honda CBR motorcycle when the accident occurred on Sunday night, March 29th. He was driving on the northbound lane at about 8:10 p.m., taking the exit north of El Cerro Boulevard.

The CHP believes that a vehicle struck Herrarte after he crashed his bike, and the unnamed driver stayed behind to speak with the officers. The CHP also spoke with people who witnessed the crash, but they have not uncovered what made the man lose control of his motorcycle.

The tragic crash led to the closure of all northbound lanes until about 9 p.m. The CHP reopened the far-left road of the center median shoulder of the interstate first, and the others were opened at 11:35 p.m.

Motorcycle accidents often result in the death of the rider. Those who survive often have life-altering injuries that affect the quality of the life they live.

There are many reasons why motorcycle accidents occur, and top of the list is over speeding. Another is the motorcyclist taking turns too fast or failing to yield to other road users, which leads to a collision.

A motorcycle accident attorney should be contacted by anyone involved in a motorcycle accident, whether as a victim or an offender.
