She caused the vehicle to steer towards a residence located on the 2300 block of Plainfield Road in Crest Hill. The car collided with the building as a result. None of the vehicle’s occupants ended up severely injured in the crash.
The Crest Hill Police took Paredez into custody and booked her into the Will County Jail on a $5,000 bail. Jail records show that the woman was released two after settling the necessary 10 percent of the bond stipulated by the state of Illinois, in addition to several conditions.
These conditions include avoiding contact with the male motorist operating the motor vehicle, and staying away from the damaged property. A hearing in connection with the case would hold on September 8, at the Will County Court House.
Reckless conduct is a class A misdemeanor under the Illinois law and may attract up to a year in jail. If such misconduct results in injury, property damage, or loss of life, additional charges may apply, ultimately leading to prolonged jail time or higher terms of bail.
