The California Highway Patrol said that a man identified as Marco Galvan, 39, was driving a Jaguar sedan when he drifted into the right shoulder of the roadway. The driver then overcorrected and lost control, causing the car to veer into the eastbound lanes.
The act caused the man to collide head-on with Reeves’ GMC Yukon. The impact of the crash wrecked the victim’s vehicle, and he was pinned inside for about 20 minutes. It took the efforts of the first responders when they arrived to free him from the car.
Reeves had severe injuries, and a helicopter ambulance flew him to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of his wounds. The CHP did not state if Galvin sustained any damage or if he got cited. They are heading the investigation into the crash.
When a collision occurs, investigators try to find who was negligent between those involved. If there’s contributory negligence, then both drivers would share the fault. However, when only one person has a liability, then the victim can bring a civil lawsuit with the help of a car injury lawyer.
