A man has died from the complications caused by motorcycle crash injuries. He was identified as Dylan Arends aged 22. Arends had been injured in a motorcycle accident nearly a month ago and had been under treatment. However, he couldn’t recover from his injuries and succumbed to them on Saturday, July 11.
According to the details shared by the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Arends had been injured in a crash that occurred on June 3. It took place on the East Northwest Highway in the northwest Des Plaines area. The medical examiner’s office didn’t specify whether any other vehicles or persons were involved in the incident. The incident had occurred late at night and was reported to the authorities at around 11:28 p.m.

Once the first responders and law enforcement arrived on the scene of the accident, Dylan Arends was transported to the Lutheran General Hospital. He remained under treatment for more than a month. However, he couldn’t recover and passed away this Saturday.
The medical examiner’s office has revealed that autopsy results on Arends have arrived. As per these results, he had developed several complications due to blunt force injuries. Based on these results, his death was ruled an accident.
It isn’t clear whether or not Des Plaines police is investigating the incident. Once accident reports from the police become available, it will be clearer whether any other parties were involved in the incident. The reports may also shed light on other facts of the fatal crash.
