FULLERTON, CA – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a DUI driver who fled the crash scene at the intersection of Orangethorpe Avenue and Harbor Boulevard
According to NBC4, the fatal accident happened around 3:30 a.m. The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Around 4:12 a.m. police officers located a white Ford sedan with major damages. The driver was identified as 24-year-old Katya Gladys Garcia-Ayala, of Tustin. She was detained and questioned by police. A Drug Recognition Expert conducted a DUI investigation.
Police arrested Garcia-Ayala for DUI and felony hit-and-run.
Local authorities closed both sides of Orangethorpe Avenue to investigate the crash. NBC4 reports westbound lanes were opened later Thursday morning.
