SANTA CLARITA, CA – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a Santa Clarita city maintenance vehicle near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Commuter Way on Wednesday morning.
Caleb Romero, 20, was traveling on a motorcycle when he hit the trailer of the maintenance vehicle around 10:45 a.m., according to SCV News. The maintenance vehicle was stopped with its warnings lights on and a sign directing traffic to another lane.

Local authorities pronounced Romero dead at the crash scene.
Police report speed could be a factor but are continuing their investigations into the cause of the crash.
Both lanes of Soledad Canyon Road were closed while local authorities investigated and cleaned up the crash.
