A Ford F-45o driven by a 56-year-old man was traveling south on Valley center Road when it veered off the roadway and collided with a fire hydrant.
The ford then came back onto the road and crossed the median. It then struck two trees before entering the northbound lane and hitting a 2018 Lexux ES350, driven by a 50-year-old man, head-on.
Both drivers suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
Authorities believe alcohol played a road in the collision and the driver of the F-450 was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The accident is still under investigation at this time.
