Twenty-four-year-old Dillon Patrick Coy died early on Monday morning after being involved in a crash, accident reports state.
This was the first road fatality the Taylor Police Department has had to investigate for the year so far.

Coy, a resident of Bremond died after he was involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler. Officers arrived in the 300 block of Carlos Parker Boulevard Southwest at 5:45 a.m., according to a release from the department.
Police said Coy was driving westbound when his 2001 Honda veered off the road and into oncoming traffic and then hit an 18-wheeler.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not say why Coy swerved out of his lane.
Meanwhile, the 56-year-old truck driver, Theodore Dalton Wells, received only minor injuries. He was taken to Seton Williamson County Medical Center for attention.
No information was released about whether there were passengers in either vehicle.
Police said they did not expect to file any criminal charges. However, investigations into the accident will continue. Future accident reports could contain additional information.
