Motor vehicle collisions are not uncommon on California roadways, and they are one of the leading causes of death in the state. An accident can either be a single-car crash, two-vehicle collision, or multiple vehicle collision. When it is any of the last two, it can be rear-ended, broadsided, or a head-on collision.
Whatever type it is, it is caused by the negligence of road users, and sometimes, intervening circumstances from the environment contributes. Drivers can mitigate these factors by prioritizing safety and driving with care and caution always.
