The preliminary investigation uncovered that Carson was heading north on 405 Freeway in his motorcycle when he crashed into the right shoulder for unknown reasons. Eyewitnesses told CHP investigators that after the man ejected from his bike and landed on the roadway, two vehicles struck him.
Carson suffered extensive injuries that led to his demise, and the authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. The police did not release any details on the alleged drivers that struck the deceased, and the investigation is ongoing.
A motorcycle accident is not uncommon, and it is often due to the negligent acts of the motorcyclist. The California Department of Motor Vehicles advises riders to drive with caution and ensure they have the U.S. DOT specified helmet.
The helmet, by law, must provide eye and face protection for the motorcyclist. The person should wear protective clothing like leather, long sleeve jacket with reflective materials, long heavy pants, over the ankle closed-toe boots, and full-fingered leather gloves.
