On Tuesday, July 28th, the California Highway Patrol said in a press release that they arrested the Boulder Creek man that struck and killed a pedestrian in San Jose, California. The suspect, Cody McGhee, would need the expertise of auto accident attorneys.
According to the CHP, an arrest warrant was issued against the man since he killed Sara Youhas, 73, early this month in an auto-pedestrian collision. At the time, the accident report disclosed that the victim, who liked to walk along Bear Creek Road, went missing at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14th.

Two days later, the highway patrol received a call at about 9:45 a.m. of a woman found lying on the roadway east of View Drive. Spokeswoman Julieta Trenado said that when officers arrived, the woman was long deceased. A preliminary investigation uncovered that a vehicle struck the woman while she walked down an embankment.
The investigators did not have any information on the driver or the vehicle involved at the time, and the Santa Cruz’s Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in locating the missing motorist. The CHP said that community tips led their Coastal Division Investigative Services Unit to track down McGhee and take him into custody.
There is no record of the suspect getting booked into the Santa Cruz County jail and no information on his bail. The investigation remains active, and the investigators will release an update at a later date.
