In the accident report, the police said the rollover crash happened on March 1st, on Randall Road, killing Brandon Levy, the passenger. Deputy Police Chief Thomas Kotlowski said when officers arrived at the scene, Huber denied being the driver of the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander.
The denial caused the investigators to wait several months for DNA test results for samples collected from the driver-side airbag. The test confirmed the suspect was behind the wheel when the crash occurred.
Kotlowski said Huber’s blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit of .08% when he crashed the Outlander. The man also had a revoked license from a previous DUI case and has been arrested twice for driving under the influence.
The police took him into custody on Thursday morning and remanded him at the McHenry County Jail on a $250,000 bail bond. He would have to post $25,000 to get released and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, October 20th. There is no additional information at this time.
