A woman arrested for a fatal crash that occurred in Augusta, Georgia, nearly two weeks ago would have to hire a top accident lawyer. The authorities took Cassandra Elizabeth Cox, 20, into custody on Tuesday, April 21st.
Cox is facing a charge of suspicion of misdemeanor homicide by vehicle, and another for improper U-turn when unsafe, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. The preliminary accident report filed after the crash showed that a car driven by the victim, Jack Ryle Jr., 21, struck the suspect’s car as she attempted to make a U-turn.

The Sunday, April 12th, accident occurred a few blocks east of Peach Orchard Road, which is about a mile south of Interstate 520. The police said that both Cox and Ryle Jr. were traveling south on Old Louisville Road approaching Satcher Boulevard when they collided.
The suspect’s vehicle was in front of the deceased’s, and she told the authorities that she had just left the home of the victim’s mother. As the young woman approached Satcher Boulevard, she remembered an item she left at the home residence and decided to make a U-turn.
Cox told the police that she turned around and looked both ways before she began turning on the same roadway. However, things didn’t go as planned, and Ryle Jr. struck the left front side of the suspect’s vehicle. The impact caused the car to travel 20 feet south before stopping and ejecting the deceased 65 feet from the automobile.
The medics took the young man to Augusta University Medical Center, where he passed away on Monday, April 13th, at about 6:09 a.m. from blunt force trauma. Those involved in this kind of accident should contact a top accident lawyer.
