EL CAJON, CA – Authorities say that a 56-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle as he rode his bike last Sunday has since died of his injuries, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Robert Bronk was hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and West Lexington Avenue at about 10 a.m. on April 18. He was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was determined to have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Bronk, an unhoused man who lived in the El Cajon area, died on the morning of April 23, after receiving palliative care.
The circumstances of the collision were not detailed in the Union-Tribune’s reporting.
