When medical support from the East Contra Costa Fire Department arrived at the scene, they took Denton to a hospital with a land ambulance. Medical personnel at the hospital pronounced him dead upon arrival. The crash remains under investigation, and anyone who witnessed it should contact the Contra Costa CHP office.
Since the news of the death of the victim, individuals in the Bay Area have expressed their condolences to his family. They described him as a pioneering figure of the West Coast rap style and noted that he did a lot for the music scene in the Bay Area.
