BAKERSFIELD, CA – Bakersfield police say a bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in west Bakersfield on Saturday night.
According to The Bakersfield Californian, officers responded to the scene on Coffee Road, just north of Brimhall Road, at 6:44 p.m.

They found the male bicyclist, whose identity has not been released, lying in the roadway with critical injuries. He passed away at the scene.
The driver of the colliding vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with BPD’s investigation. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to have played a role.
