The Hill County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety worked the accident scene together. They did not disclose the details of the crash or how Morales’ tour bus was involved. But they stated that they closed down 1-35 to allow medical personnel to evaluate the passengers of the bus.
The medics also evaluated the drivers of the 18-wheelers and transported one of the motorists to a hospital in Waco for treatment of unspecified injuries. The roadway remained closed until the authorities concluded their investigation and cleared the accident scene. There is no additional information at this time.
Traffic accidents are not uncommon in Texas and have a high rate of fatality. The negligent acts of drivers cause most of the crashes, and at other times, unforeseen circumstances lead to road accidents.
Law enforcement agencies and traffic authorities advise drivers to maintain proper road behavior to promote safety and keep the roadway accident-free. If a collision occurs, make an accident report immediately to enable first responders to arrive on time, and prevent adverse legal consequences.
