According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim, a 24-year-old, was driving on the freeway in a black 1999 Toyota Avalon. He then crashed into a big rig parked on the road.
Following the impact, the car became stuck under the rig. When medics arrived at the scene, they found that Currie had died. The rig’s driver was asleep in the cab at the time of the crash. Authorities didn’t give any further information about the accident, though investigations are ongoing.
Speeding is a major cause of many accidents that occur on the roadway. Some motorists drive at excessive speeds that are dangerous to them and other motorists. This act can lead to collisions with other vehicles or cause drivers to lose control of their cars.
Often, the result of many of these accidents is death or critical injuries. It also causes closure of roads, leading to traffic gridlock. With the attendant dangers of speeding, drivers must avoid it.
They must stick to the speed limit of roads and respect traffic laws and regulations. Accident reports show that many drivers flout these rules, and this negligence causes many collisions. Patrol officers are always on the lookout for offending drivers, who face severe punishment once they get caught.
