Nampraseut and Hanks were traveling on the roadway in a 1996 Lexus sedan when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed into a semi-truck. The two, who were not wearing seatbelts were ejected from the car and sustained severe wounds that claimed their lives.

The unidentified driver of the semi-truck did not get hurt in the crash, and the police did not provide additional information on the driver. The crash remains under investigation, and the public will get updated once there are more details.

Several accident reports show that ejections in crashes like that of Nampraseut and Hanks occur for several reasons. They result from significant speeding at the time of the accident, defective seat belts, damaged side windows, broken door latches, and vehicle rollover.

Those involved sustain severe wounds like traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injury, neck injuries, and internal bleeding. These wounds result in organ damage, paralysis, and death. Traffic officials advise drivers to drive carefully and maintain their vehicles regularly.
