KEARNY MESA, CA – A 23-year-old man is in the hospital with a life-threatening brain bleed following an ATV accident in Kearny Mesa, according to local news reports.
The accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The victim had just purchased the ATV from Fun Bike Center, off Kearny Villa Road near Ruffin Road when he lost control in the parking lot.

After striking a curb the ATV flipped over, throwing its rider. The man was rushed to a hospital with a brain bled that is considered to be life-threatening. It is unclear whether the man was wearing a helmet at the time.
