CASTAIC, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were forced to shut down all southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway following a multi-vehicle big rig accident Monday morning.
According to KABC, the accident occurred at about 6:20 a.m. near the Templin Highway interchange.

Photos from the scene depicted at least two passenger cars that had collided with an overturned big rig blocking all lanes for several hours.
No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the crash. All lanes were reopened at about 11:30 a.m.
