On Wednesday, March 25, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office released the name of a woman who was killed in a March 10 hit-and-run accident. The woman was identified as 65-year-old Oakland resident Mable Hill.
The March 10 accident is currently still being investigated. According to the preliminary reports, the accident occurred when Ms. Hill exited her parked vehicle near 62nd Avenue at around 6:54 a.m. The suspected car was traveling westbound on the roadway when it hit the woman.

Paramedics responded to the scene of the accident and found the woman lying in the roadway from the collision. Paramedics called time of death while still at the scene before transporting the woman’s body.
Police were able to attain that the driver of the vehicle that hit Ms. Hill did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The car is being described as a late 1990s Toyota Camry that is white or beige.
The front of the Toyota would have significant damage to the front end of the vehicle. The Oakland Police Department is seeking help in identifying this car and driver that is responsible for the hit-and-run death of Ms. Hill.
