Newport Beach police is yet to divulge the key details surrounding the crash. As per the available information, Benitez was traveling along a road in Newport Beach when he appears to have lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then collided with a fixed object located close to the road. Police have not revealed the precise nature of the object into which Benitez crashed.

The sheer impact of the collision caused Benitez to sustain critical injuries. Once the paramedics and law enforcement personnel arrived on the scene, attempts were made to revive him. However, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the collision. The identity of Ramiro Benitez as the crash victim was initially withheld. The Orange County Coroner’s office finally released his identification details later on Sunday.

Newport Beach police continues to investigate the incident. The focus of the investigations, at this point, is to determine exactly what caused Benitez to lose control of his vehicle and fatally crash. Subsequent accident reports may reveal if speed or alcohol was a contributing factor.
