The man killed in a vehicle collision in Nevada’s west Las Vegas Valley area has been identified as Tyrece Stoll Cromwell, a 23-year-old city resident. The Nevada Highway Patrol made the identification public in updates made to the accident report on Wednesday, August 26th.

The highway patrol clarified the earlier report that stated that a woman died in the occurrence. They added that the Clark County Coroner’s Office said Cromwell died from injuries sustained in the collision and ruled his death an accident.

The incident happened Friday night, August 21st, on the 215 Beltway. Troopers responded to a call about the crash around 11:30 p.m. on the roadway’s southbound lane at Tropicana Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim operated a Mazda 3.

He traveled on the wrong way heading north in the southbound lanes. The act caused him to collide with an oncoming Ford F-250, and the force of the collision caused the second vehicle to strike a concrete barrier wall. The NHP said that a Hyundai Elantra struck the Mazda, causing it to lose a tire.

A BMW x5 sedan then struck the tire. Cromwell died at the scene, and the paramedics pronounced him. The Hyundai occupants and the Ford’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at the University Medical Center.

The highway patrol did not state in the update if alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident. There is no additional information at this time.
