The California Highway Patrol said that for unknown reasons, the man lost control and headed down a dry grass embankment. He crashed into a barbed-wire fence, and the impact ejected him from the motorcycle. Although Allen was wearing a helmet, he sustained severe injuries.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they found another biker performing CPR on the victim, and medics took over. They tried for 40 minutes to resuscitate the man, but he succumbed to his injuries. The report did not indicate the involvement of another vehicle or person.
The investigation into the cause of the occurrence is ongoing. The Modesto Area CHP Office heads it, and they urged anyone with helpful information to contact them on the listed line.
Solo motorcycle accidents are preventable if riders make safety a priority and operate the two-wheeled drive with care and caution. Motorcyclists should wear a safety helmet complaint with the United States Department of Transportation guidelines, as well as protective apparel to mitigate the severity of the injuries sustained.
