The man was on his way back from his first day at a new housing tract where his company was supplying water when he got into the collision on Sunday, June 14th. According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorist struck David while he was leisurely riding a bicycle at about 9 p.m.

The police said that the accident happened at the intersection of 65th Street and West and West Avenue A. When the fire department officials and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the bicycle on the roadway, and its rider dead.

The driver of the vehicle parked at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. The investigators have not discovered what caused the collision or on whose side the liability lies. The inquiry is ongoing, and any additional information would be available at a later time.

Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death in California and the United States. Road users can mitigate crashes by practicing safe road behaviors and putting safety first.
