Investigators gathered that the victims were asleep in their home when a vehicle suddenly made its way into the apartment, damaging the property. The motorist then drove his vehicle out of the building and fled the scene without stopping to assess the damages or check on the victims.

Police said Angelo Braye, and his girlfriend suffered several cuts and bruises in the encounter, but escaped with their lives. The female, whose name remains withheld, complained of pain in her side and stomach, in addition to her visible injuries.

The suspect remains at large. Witnesses described the motorist as a male in his late teens, dressed in black clothing. Officers believe him to be a Latino, from the descriptions obtained. LAPD officers are on the lookout for anyone that fits the description, as investigators continue to gather more details about the crash.

LAPD officials implored anyone who witnessed the occurrence or has information about the whereabouts of the motorist to contact the department’s San Fernando Valley traffic investigation unit.

The victims may need to involve a top accident lawyer to assess the situation and help them secure compensation for property damage, and injuries sustained in the collision.
