The authorities did not state what led to the accident, but they disclosed that one of the wrecked cars landed in the right-shoulder of H-680 while the second ended up in the far-right traffic lane. Rabanal succumbed to his wounds at the scene, and the medics declared him dead.

There is currently no information on who the second driver is, or if he or she sustained injuries in the crash. The investigation into the fatal accident remains active, and the authorities will provide an update later.

Most two-vehicle collisions often end fatally for the motorist and passengers involved, and those who survive have minor to severe injuries. Safety tips for drivers include maintaining their vehicles properly and ensuring their headlights are functional when driving at night.

Others are wearing seat belts, properly positioning side and rearview mirrors, and obeying the road rules. Drivers and eyewitnesses should report car accidents timeously to increase an injured victim’s chances of survival.
