The events that led to the fatal collision remains unclear, but Frutis died at the scene from the injuries sustained from the crash. The authorities also confirmed that a man in his 50s died in the accident, but his identity has not been revealed pending next-of-kin notification.

There is currently no additional information about the tragic accident. The California Highway Patrol is heading the investigation and will provide updates as things unfold.

Accidents are usually unpleasant and leave those involved in a state of panic. The authorities and California Vehicle laws provide guidelines for people to follow after a crash. The first is for drivers to remain at the scene, and access the level of the damage caused.

If there’s an injury, call 911 and try to provide first aid while waiting for the first responders to arrive. When the authorities arrive, give a concise statement of the events that led to the accident, and leave after getting cleared. If no one got injured, check for property damage, and report the car accident as soon as possible.
