The CHP believes that a vehicle struck Herrarte after he crashed his bike, and the unnamed driver stayed behind to speak with the officers. The CHP also spoke with people who witnessed the crash, but they have not uncovered what made the man lose control of his motorcycle.
The tragic crash led to the closure of all northbound lanes until about 9 p.m. The CHP reopened the far-left road of the center median shoulder of the interstate first, and the others were opened at 11:35 p.m.
Motorcycle accidents often result in the death of the rider. Those who survive often have life-altering injuries that affect the quality of the life they live.
There are many reasons why motorcycle accidents occur, and top of the list is over speeding. Another is the motorcyclist taking turns too fast or failing to yield to other road users, which leads to a collision.
A motorcycle accident attorney should be contacted by anyone involved in a motorcycle accident, whether as a victim or an offender.
